My Christmas Wish List

Since Christmas is a time for wishes, here is my list. :) Some are definitely more attainable than others:

1. The three books remaining in the Twilight series: New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Yes, you can call me a preteen for loving these books!








2. An UsWeekly subscription. Ours has run out and since it's over $50/yr, we have voted to skip the renewal. But, I really miss my weekly celebrity gossip!

3. A digital SLR camera. With the baby on the way, I think it would be great to have a new camera. Another thing Ryan says no to, as he has bought me too many cameras in our 11 years together. For the record, he has bought me 2. One for my college graduation and one for my 30th birthday. The others were "family purchases" after he lost our digital camera while traveling in Europe.

4. Gap/Old Navy gift cards for maternity clothes. Kind of boring, but I need maternity clothes and these are the most reasonable stores to shop at for maternity wear.

5. A new Sonicare toothbrush. My beloved Sonicare has died and my teeth miss their ultra-fresh feeling after brushing!

6. Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter lotion for my growing baby belly!



7. Classic Short Uggs in chocolate. I know some people hate Uggs, but they are seriously warm and comfortable for Indiana winters! (Oh, and I wear a size 9!).




8. Fuzzy Pink slippers. I have had my old slippers for 8 years now and it's time for a new pair! I'd like them to be machine washable if possible.

9. 2 of these Rattan Chairs from ZGallerie. They will be perfect for my home office!



10. A king size bed. I love this Martha Stewart bed! I can't find pricing online, so I need to go to a store and find out how much this baby will cost. It's gorgeous and would be perfect with the Tempurpedic mattress I found on Overstock.com.



A girl can dream, right?

The New Pottery Barn Catalog

Wow...there are some really great items in the new Pottery Barn catalog and some really terrible ones too. I can't be the only person in the world that thinks the Shelton Collection is positively hideous!

Anyway, on to my favorites:

The Brooks Slipcovered Chair with the Serafina Floral pattern. Too bad that the chair is $729.00. Regardless of the price, I doubt Ryan will find it as beautiful as I do! Maybe I'll just have to buy the accent pillows with that fabric...

I think it would be beautiful in my office with my new black desk and the current wall color, Artichoke by Sherwin Williams:

The Harrington Floor Lamp is just stunning and would be perfect for my bedroom.

I'm also really loving this green swirl rug for my soon-to-be completed new work office:

I adore these funky black and white pinecone print chair cushions. They are super fun and I think they would be perfect for our kitchen chairs! The ones we have now, despite being completely functional, they are cream and completely covered with Baxter's black fur. Since we can't get rid of our sweet Baxter, the cushions may be soon out the door!

This Black & White striped pitcher is adorable and would go beautifully in my kitchen hutch. Besides that, it's a steal at $29!

My wishlist is only a mere $1,440 plus tax. I guess I'll just keep dreaming about it...

5 Things I Love Now.

1. Rimmel Viny Lip gloss in Cosmic. It's the perfect shade, the perfect price (less than $4) and not sticky at all. Everything a girl could want in a lipgloss!




2. Party planning. I'm having so much fun that in a perfect world, I might want it as my full time job.

3. Anything race-inspired. I love all of the black and white checkered flags and items. So perfect for Indy in the month of May.




4. Say by John Mayer. For whatever reason, I just cannot get enough of this song!

5. A bright white summer-weight quilt. I really want one, and I like this one from Overstock.com. They just seem so fresh and clean and everything goes with white!

5 Things I Want Now.

1. A new pair of black peep-toe heels. I had a great pair last summer, but I loved them so much I wore them out by wearing them everyday.

2. Bookcases for my office. I've already lusted over the Set of three Tuscan bookcases from Ballard Designs and they are still my #1 favorite. I just can't find anything else I like better!

3. Some fun new cheap summer tops. Something that I won't feel guilty about spending some money on, even if I hate my choices by fall.

4. A good pedicure. I need to treat myself soon, otherwise no one will be seeing my feet despite 70 degree temps!

5. A vacation. Cancun would be nice...or anywhere just for a few days with the husband.

Time to Decorate the Office

Ryan and I picked up my birthday gift on Saturday. My World Market Konrad desk finally arrived! It looks a little small, but it's actually a pretty substantial desk, measuring 60" wide x 28" deep x 30" high. Here's a refresher pic of the desk, mine is without the hutch on top:



I have my eye on this chair from Pier 1, either as the desk chair or using two chairs in front of the desk as accent chairs. What do you think?



So, now I must find bookshelves! I have my eye on these bookshelves from Ballard Designs, but Ryan has already said no because they're too expensive, at $1600 plus tax and shipping. :( A girl can dream, though, right?

5 Ideas for my Birthday Wishlist

Countdown to my 30th Birthday: 4 days. eek!

5 things I'd love for birthday gifts, are you listening Ryan?

1. The brown Zebra rug from westelm.com. I've been lusting over this rug for months and I think it would look lovely in my new brown bathroom! In the 3x5 size, please!



2. This beautiful white trench coat from White House Black Market. Isn't it just gorgeous?



3. The aqua and camel Conservatory I area rug (5x8) from Home Decorators Collection. It would be perfect with my new olive sofas and the new grommet panels I ordered for my living room in chocolate brown. If it weren't for the $400 price tag, I might have just ordered it myself!



4. A king sized bed and mattress. Of course a new bed would lead to new bedding! I really like this pewter bed from JCPenney and I found a memory foam mattress from overstock.com.



5. These prints from allposters.com. I think they're stunning and they would look great in my dining room!
