Baby's First Roadtrip

We took Tyson on a roadtrip to Chicago when he was 6 weeks old. He was so tiny in his carseat:

My Dad has been requesting these photos. Not taken today, but silly nonetheless. Ryan is on the stairs coming up from our basement and someone is being kept from falling down those same stairs.

Evening snuggles

Tyson is at an absolutely delightful age. He's always so happy and so fun to be around. He laughs and smiles constantly and loves to be chased around the house or up the stairs (yes, he climbs the stairs. heavily supervised of course!).

Tyson is getting pretty good at feeding himself Cheerios and he showed off his skills to Daddy when he got home from Phoenix today.

Tyson wasn't very cooperative with the camera today, so this is the best I could do.

9 Month Stats

Tyson had his 9 month well baby visit with Dr. R today and he's doing great!

He weighs 19 lbs, 13 oz (25th percentile)
He's 29 inches long (75th percentile)
and I' can't remember his head circumference, but it's in the 50th percentile.

Grow baby, grow!

Dr. R said he's doing great and we can move him up to 3 solids meals per day if he likes to eat (and he does!). He also said we can start offering him meats, dairy (not milk) and more seasonings and spices if he likes them.

All of a sudden, Tyson is doing great with finger foods. I was worried that he was going to be eating purees forever. He picks up Cheerios and actually gets most of them in his mouth. I'd really like to get away from baby foods, so I'm going to start offering him more table foods to gum and chew.

Our little man has his first of many bumps and bruises. He fell and bumped his head on a table in our living room and ended up with these bruises on his forehead.

A case of the Mondays

9 Months

Tyson is 9 months old today!

At 9 months, Tyson:

-is wearing a size 3 diaper;
-is still wearing some of his 3-6 month stuff, most of his 6 month clothes, and is growing into some of his 6-12 month items;
-eats 4 bottles and 2 solids meals per day;
-crawls, cruises and walks assisted;
-sleeps through the night more often than not;
-has 4 teeth; and
-is so, so happy!

He refused to put down the container of teething tablets, but he's waving hello:


Had to wear his Colts socks today; too bad they didn't win the Superbowl tonight :(
